Look Deep: Poems

Elizabeth Davis grew up in New England and went to Mount Holyoke College. She and her husband, Fletcher Davis, moved to California where they lived for thirty years. Elizabeth connected deeply with the natural world on her first experience of hiking in the High Sierra Nevada mountains. With their two children, Heather and Peter, the family backpacked there every summer for ten years. Elizabeth was an attorney, first in family law and then in workers’ compensation law. She began writing poetry on her first trip to the Middle East. Elizabeth and Fletcher moved to the Pacific Northwest where they lived for twenty five years; fifteen of those years they lived a half mile away from an old growth forest. That experience really inspired the poetry to flow!
